On November 5, 2024, Oakland voters recalled Mayor Sheng Thao. The campaign centered on public safety, government accountability, and the basic services residents expect from City Hall.
Epic Strategies Group helped build the coalition, the field operation, and the public case that carried the recall. Edward Escobar, Chris Moore, Seneca Scott, and Tuan Ngo were central to the effort — organizing residents, sustaining momentum, and keeping the message focused through Election Day.
The recall removed the mayor and forced a leadership change in Oakland.
