NO on Measure E Oakland 2026

Oakland, CaliforniaDefeated

Measure E was a proposed parcel tax on the June 2, 2026 Oakland ballot. It would have charged about $192 a year per parcel and raised roughly $34 million annually for public safety and city services. Because it qualified by signature, it needed only a simple majority.

The No campaign argued that Oakland already collects among the highest local taxes in California without delivering the services those taxes promised, and that Measure E guaranteed no additional police officers, 911 operators, or shelter beds.

Voters rejected it. No received 57,379 votes (54.07%) and Yes received 48,741 (45.93%), with all precincts reported.
