NO on $30 Minimum Wage Oakland/Alameda County 2026
Oakland and Alameda CountyActive
A coalition has pushed a phased $30-an-hour minimum wage in Alameda County and has pursued a parallel proposal in Oakland. In the county, the initiative would apply to county workers and to private employers in unincorporated areas, with the $30 rate arriving by employer size between 2030 and 2037.
The Alameda County Board of Supervisors kept the county measure off the November 2026 ballot to study its impact, then advanced it toward a later statewide election — currently expected in March 2028, or sooner if the state calls a special election.
